    The Women's Grievance Cell is established to ensure a safe and secure working and studying environment for women at Nirmala College of Pharmacy. All female students, faculty, and staff are members of the Women's Cell.
  • Mission
    • To foster a gender-sensitive community where women and men are equal participants in society.
    • To provide a forum for open dialogue and discussion on gender issues for both men and women.
  • Purpose
    Every citizen of India, male and female, has the right to education and employment in a safe and secure environment, as provided by Articles 14, 19, and 21 of the Constitution of India, which ensure 'Gender Equality' and the 'Right to Life and Liberty.' It is the duty of every organization to uphold these fundamental rights, ensuring dignity for all employees. However, violations of these rights sometimes occur, necessitating safeguards to promote gender equality. Due to historical challenges, working women often face difficulties at the workplace, highlighting the need for protective measures. The Women's Cell at Nirmala College of Pharmacy has been established to address these concerns.
  • Aims and Objectives
    • To create a gender-sensitive environment that enables women and men to maximize their potential.
    • To ensure a safe working and studying environment free from threats to women's safety.
    • To address the issues and concerns of all women and girls at the institute.
    • To handle cases of workplace sexual, psychological, or emotional harassment in a timely, appropriate, and just manner.
  • Proposed Activities
    • Gender sensitization lectures and workshops for students, faculty, and staff.
    • Lecture series by eminent academicians and inspirational personalities.
    • Competitions on gender themes to encourage students to engage with gender issues.
    • Institution of awards for outstanding and deserving female students and staff.
    • Celebration of International Women's Day.
    • Career guidance and counseling for women.
    Utmost care will be taken to approach issues sensitively, protecting the confidentiality and dignity of those involved.
