Career counseling is a process that will help us to know and understand ourself.
Career development is more than just deciding on major and what job you want to get when you graduate
Career development is really a lifelong process, it means that throughout your life you will change, situations will change and you will continually have to make career and life decisions.
Goal of career counseling:

• Not only help you make the decisions you need to make now
• It give you the knowledge and skills you need to make future career
• Life decisions.

Nirmala College of pharmacy has established during the year 2004 with diploma and 2006 B Pharmacy. The first batch of B.Pharmacy course has been entered into their 4th year in 2009. So, college principal has thought to introduce career counseling programme in college.
Head of the institution has framed  career counseling and career guidance team members among the faculty members on 10th August 2009(Monday)

Job Role of team members/career counselors:

• To help the student by asking who you are and what you want out of your education, your career and your life.
• Be someone for you to talk about your thoughts, ideas, feelings and concern about your career and educational choices and make sense of your thoughts and feelings.
• To help you identify the factors influencing your career development and help you assess your interest, abilities and values.
• To help the students regarding the location of resources and sources of career information.
• To help the students for their next steps and develop a plan to achieve their goals.
